Lead-Free Brass and Pressure-Cycle Reliability — Where Failure Isn’t an Option
A press joint hides inside a wall for decades. Two things decide whether it’s ever seen again: the brass grade and the cycle life.
- Lead-free & dezincification-resistant: Hitze brass fittings use lead-free DZR grades (e.g. CW724R / CW511L), so they clear NSF/ANSI 61 potable-water expectations in North America and WRAS / DVGW drinking-water requirements in the UK/EU. Where zinc-loss corrosion is a concern, choose the PPSU body for a fully dezincification-immune joint.
- Built for pressure cycling: The stainless-steel sleeve holds the compression; the O-ring holds the seal. Fittings are validated by pressure-cycle testing across hot and cold service. Test standard and cycle count: available on request.
- Certified for both markets: cUPC / NSF support for North America; DVGW / WRAS support for EU/UK. Specific certificate and listing numbers are available on request — certified to NA & EU standards.

When Hitze pipe and Hitze press fittings are installed together, the joint is a matched system — same materials, same tolerances, one accountable brand. That’s what unlocks the full Hitze system warranty. Mixing brands shifts liability onto the installer and typically voids coverage. For wholesalers and importers, a same-brand system is also a cleaner sell: one spec sheet, one warranty line, one point of contact. System warranty term: available on request.
