HDPE / PP Pipe — German-Brand PE100 Polyethylene for Water, Gas, Irrigation & Drainage

Hitze HDPE / PE (high-density polyethylene) pipe is engineered for the toughest infrastructure lines — corrosion-free, scale-free, and rated for a design life of around 50 years.

Produced in PE100 and PE80 grades, joined by butt-fusion or electrofusion into homogeneous, seal-free joints, with wall thickness spanning roughly 2.3mm to 10mm. Manufactured to the PE pressure-pipe standards (EN 12201 / ISO 4427 for water, ISO 4437 / EN 1555 for gas) and built by a German brand under the SKZ / DIN 8077-8078 / EN ISO 15874 standards regime; product certifications available on request.

Trade / bulk supply only — Hitze does not sell single lengths at retail.

The PE100 System

PE100 / PE80 Polyethylene — Corrosion-Free for a 50-Year Service Life

The performance of an HDPE line starts with the resin. Hitze pipe is produced from the same PE material families specified for municipal water and gas networks worldwide.

Hitze pipe is produced from PE100 and PE80 high-density polyethylene — the same material families specified for municipal water and gas networks worldwide. Polyethylene does not corrode, does not scale, and resists the environmental stress cracking that shortens the life of lesser pipe, which is why a properly specified PE100 line carries a design life of around 50 years. It is chemically inert for potable water, flexible enough to coil in smaller diameters (fewer joints, faster laying), and tough enough for buried pressure service. One material solves what steel, ductile iron and PVC each solve only in part — no rust, no scale, no rigid-joint failure points.

Corrosion-Free

Polyethylene does not rust or scale — no tuberculation, no bore loss over decades of buried service.

~50-Year Design Life

A properly specified PE100 line resists environmental stress cracking for a long buried service life.

Inert for Potable Water

Chemically inert PE100 carries drinking water with no rust, no scale and no taste transfer.

Flexible & Coilable

Smaller diameters coil for fast, low-joint laying — fewer connections in the ground to fail.

Sizes & Wall Thickness

Full Size Range — Coils and Straight Lengths, Wall Thickness ~2.3–10mm

Hitze supplies HDPE pipe across a broad size range to match pressure class and flow — so your engineers can size the line before you order and your buyers can quote against exact dimensions.

Wall thickness spans roughly 2.3mm to 10mm depending on diameter and SDR (standard dimension ratio) — the higher the pressure class, the thicker the wall for a given diameter. Smaller diameters ship in coils for fast, low-joint laying on irrigation and service lines; larger diameters ship in straight lengths for water and gas mains. SDR / pressure class is matched to your application, and the complete size, wall-thickness and SDR table is provided in the HDPE Spec Pack.

Applications

One PE System for Potable Water, Gas, Irrigation & Drainage

Because polyethylene is inert, flexible and corrosion-free, a single Hitze PE material family covers four service lines — simpler stock, simpler quoting, one brand on the invoice.

For potable water, PE100 pipe carries clean water with no rust, no scale and no taste transfer — chemically inert for drinking-water networks. For gas, PE100 / PE80 pipe is the standard for buried gas distribution, fused into leak-tight, seal-free joints. For irrigation, coilable HDPE lays fast across agricultural and landscape networks and shrugs off UV and soil chemistry. For drainage and non-pressure conveyance, PE pipe resists the aggressive effluents that corrode metal and crack rigid pipe. For a wholesaler or importer, that means one certified PE product family covers the bulk of buried wet services.

Jointing

Homogeneous Fused Joints — Butt-Fusion & Electrofusion, No Seals to Fail

HDPE is joined by heat fusion, not by seals or mechanical rings — which is exactly why it is trusted for buried water and gas mains.

In butt-fusion, the two pipe ends are heated on a plate and pressed together so the polymer melts into one continuous mass; the joint is homogeneous with the pipe wall itself, as strong as the pipe. In electrofusion, an electrofusion coupler with an internal heating coil is slid over the joint and energised, welding the fitting to the pipe — ideal for tie-ins, repairs and tight spaces. Neither method leaves a rubber seal, gasket or compression ring in the ground to relax, harden or leak over a 50-year life. For lines that will be buried and paved over, a fused PE joint is the lowest-risk connection you can specify.

The HDPE / PE pipe is manufactured to the PE pressure-pipe product standards — EN 12201 / ISO 4427 for water and ISO 4437 / EN 1555 for gas — and is SKZ-tested by the German Süddeutsches Kunststoff-Zentrum, a German plastics testing and certification institute. As a German brand, Hitze’s piping is built to the German-standard regime of DIN 8077 / DIN 8078 and EN ISO 15874. As a source for the North American and European trade, Hitze also holds NSF-14 and NSF/ANSI 61 (potable-water safety), DVGW, WRAS, and, as a German brand, CE marking with Declaration of Performance (DoP). The German brand itself is backed by trademark registration No. 30 2020 005 484 at the German Patent and Trademark Office (Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt, Munich). FAQ

HDPE / PP Pipe — Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hitze HDPE pipe made from PE100 or PE80?
For the ImporterBoth. Hitze produces PE / HDPE pipe in PE100 and PE80 grades, chosen to match the pressure class and application — water, gas, irrigation or drainage. PE100 is the higher-performance grade for demanding pressure lines. The exact grade for your project is confirmed on the spec sheet — request the HDPE Spec Pack.
What sizes, wall thickness and SDR does Hitze HDPE pipe cover?
For the WholesalerWall thickness runs roughly 2.3mm to 10mm across the size range, supplied in coils (smaller diameters) and straight lengths (larger mains). SDR / pressure class is matched to the application. The full OD × wall × SDR table ships in the HDPE Spec Pack so your buyers can quote against exact dimensions.
Is Hitze HDPE pipe rated for gas as well as water?
For the ImporterYes. Hitze produces polyethylene pipe for potable water, gas distribution, irrigation and drainage. Gas-service pipe uses PE100 / PE80 grades and fuses by butt-fusion or electrofusion into leak-tight, seal-free joints. Gas-service rating and the relevant certificate numbers are available on request in the Cert Pack.
How is Hitze HDPE pipe jointed — butt-fusion or electrofusion?
For the ContractorBoth. Butt-fusion heats and presses two pipe ends into one continuous mass for straight runs and larger mains; electrofusion uses a coil-heated coupler for tie-ins, repairs and tight spaces. Neither leaves a rubber seal or gasket in the ground — a homogeneous, seal-free joint for buried water and gas.
Can Hitze private-label HDPE for our brand, and what is the MOQ?
For the Private-Label BrandYes. As a German brand (GERMANY Hitze INDUSTRY CO., LTD., founded 1974) on an ODM model, Hitze prints your logo, stripe colour and spec on PE / HDPE pipe — sourced alongside PP-R and multilayer. There is no MOQ, so you can start with samples or a small trial order and validate a size range before committing to volume. Request samples to start.
