Lead-Free Brass Fittings Manufacturer — NSF-61 & DZR, for Potable Water

Hitze is a German brand supplying lead-free brass fittings to plumbing wholesalers, importers, contractors and private-label buyers across North America and Europe.

Our potable range is machined from lead-free brass certified to NSF/ANSI 61; for aggressive, chlorinated or soft-water systems we supply dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass in CW724R, CW511L and CW602N — in adapters, tees, elbows, couplings, reducers and caps across NPT, BSP and G threads. Backed by cUPC, NSF-61, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP, with low MOQ and sample-friendly ordering.

Trade & bulk supply only — Hitze does not sell single units at retail.

Material Grades

Lead-Free & DZR Brass Grades — CW724R, CW511L, CW602N

Material grade is what separates a compliant brass fitting from a warranty claim. Hitze specifies the right alloy for potable safety and for water chemistries that attack ordinary brass.

For drinking water, Hitze uses lead-free brass certified to NSF/ANSI 61, so wholesalers and contractors can spec it into potable installs. For water chemistries that attack ordinary brass — chlorinated, soft or aggressive supplies common across Europe and coastal regions — Hitze supplies dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass in CW724R, CW511L and CW602N. DZR brass resists the selective leaching of zinc that causes cracking and leaks over time, making these DZR brass fittings the grade specified for long-service, high-reliability systems.

Type Matrix

Brass Fitting Type Matrix — Adapters, Tees, Elbows, Couplings & More

Consolidate your SKUs with one manufacturer instead of chasing part types across suppliers.

Hitze supplies a full brass fitting type matrix so you can consolidate SKUs with one manufacturer. The range spans threaded and transition adapters (male & female), tees (equal and reducing), elbows (90° and 45°, male/female), couplings and reducers, plus caps and plugs — all available in lead-free and DZR grades. As a brass fittings manufacturer rather than a reseller, Hitze can match grade, thread and geometry to your exact market and consolidate them into a single bulk order.

Thread Standards

Thread Standards — NPT, BSP & G for North America & Europe

Threads are where cross-market brass sourcing goes wrong. Get the standard right the first time and avoid leaks, rework and rejected shipments.

Hitze supplies brass fittings in NPT (North American tapered), BSP and G (parallel) threads, in both male and female, so importers and distributors serving the USA and UK/EU can source both from one supplier without mismatching connections. Every adapter, tee, elbow and coupling in the range is available across these thread standards to match your destination market.

Compliance & Proof

NSF-61 & Lead-Free Compliance — Certified for Drinking Water

For drinking-water work, material compliance is not optional. Hitze brass is built and supported for exactly that.

Hitze potable lead-free brass fittings are made from lead-free brass and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 — the standard North American low-lead law requires for potable contact. Across the wider Hitze portfolio, our piping systems and fittings are certified to cUPC (IAPMO), NSF-14, NSF/ANSI 61, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP — the certification families North American and European buyers require to specify with confidence. Certificate and listing numbers are being finalized and will be published in the Spec Pack.

Dezincification Resistance — Why DZR Brass Matters

Specifying DZR up front is far cheaper than tearing out a failed brass joint later.

Ordinary brass can suffer dezincification — the selective leaching of zinc from the alloy, which leaves behind a weak, porous copper structure that cracks and leaks. It is a common failure mode in chlorinated, soft or aggressive water and is why UK, EU and coastal specifiers demand DZR brass. Hitze dezincification-resistant brass fittings in CW724R, CW511L and CW602N are formulated to resist this attack, protecting hidden and buried joints over the system’s service life.

FAQ

Brass Fittings FAQ — For Wholesalers, Contractors & Importers

Are Hitze brass fittings lead-free for potable water?
For the ContractorYes. Hitze potable brass fittings are machined from lead-free brass and certified to NSF/ANSI 61, so they pass drinking-water inspection under North American low-lead law. The broader portfolio also holds cUPC, NSF-14, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP. Specific certificate numbers are coming soon in the Spec Pack.
Are your brass fittings dezincification-resistant (DZR)?
For the ImporterYes. Hitze supplies dezincification-resistant brass fittings in CW724R, CW511L and CW602N grades. DZR brass resists the selective loss of zinc that cracks ordinary brass in chlorinated, soft or aggressive water — the grade UK, EU and coastal markets specify for long-service reliability.
What thread standards do Hitze brass fittings use?
For the WholesalerHitze supplies NPT (North American tapered), BSP and G (parallel) threads in both male and female, so you can stock for USA and UK/EU customers from one supplier. Adapters, tees, elbows, couplings, reducers and caps are all available across these thread standards.
What brass grades does Hitze offer, and are they NSF-61 certified?
For the MEP ConsultantHitze offers lead-free brass certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for potable water, plus DZR grades CW724R, CW511L and CW602N for aggressive water chemistries. This lets you specify the correct grade for potable safety and dezincification resistance in one submittal. Certificate numbers coming soon.
Can Hitze private-label brass fittings for our brand?
For the ImporterYes. Hitze runs OEM / private-label programs on lead-free and DZR brass fittings — your logo on product and packaging, plus the NSF-61, cUPC, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP documentation your market needs. MOQ is low and sample-friendly; exact MOQ numbers coming soon.
