Project at a Glance
An illustrative, anonymized wholesale supply relationship — the kind of program Hitze runs for distributors replacing a supplier that could no longer keep the shelf consistent, stocked and certified.
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Buyer type | Distributor / wholesale importer |
| Region | Anonymized — illustrative example: a North American distributor |
| Product lines supplied | Multilayer PEX-AL-PEX pipe · PEX pipe · PP-R pipe & fittings · Press fittings |
| First-order volume | Sample order → full container (representative framework) |
| Reorder cadence | Recurring container reorders (representative framework) |
| Core challenge | Previous supplier: tolerance drift, recurring stockouts, incomplete certification documents |
| Program timeline | Onboarding → first shipment → steady-state reorder |
Trade-only note: This case reflects a B2B wholesale supply relationship. Hitze supplies distributors, importers and merchants — not end consumers. It is representative and anonymized, and does not depict a named client account.
The Challenge
The distributor wasn’t looking for the cheapest pipe. They were looking for a supply program they could build a business on.
Before partnering with Hitze, the distributor was sourcing PEX and PP-R lines from a supplier that looked competitive on paper — until the reorders started arriving. Three problems compounded across the shelf:
What they needed was a program with three guarantees: same spec every time, on the shelf when contractors need it, with paperwork that clears customs on the first pass.
The Solution
Hitze rebuilt the distributor’s supply around three guarantees — each mapped to one of the failures above.
OD, wall thickness and the EVOH oxygen-barrier layer sampled and logged per batch — not per shipment.
A recurring reorder schedule tied to real sell-through, so fast-moving sizes refill before the bin hits zero.
A complete, matching cert and customs document set with every shipment — cleared on the first attempt.
Every production lot is inspected against EN ISO 21003 (multilayer) and EN ISO 15874 / 15875 (PP-R / PEX) dimensional limits, cross-checked to ASTM F877 / F1281 where the North American market requires it. Outer diameter, wall thickness and the EVOH oxygen-barrier layer (DIN 4726) are sampled and logged per batch, not per shipment.
The practical result for a wholesaler: a fitting that seats in Container 1 seats identically in Container 12. Mixed-stock complaints disappear, and the distributor can promise contractors one consistent spec across the whole ranging.
Capacity & Cadence
Instead of one-off orders, Hitze runs the account on a recurring reorder schedule tied to the distributor’s actual sell-through.
Fast-moving sizes (16 / 20 / 25 / 32 mm) are planned ahead of the bin hitting zero, so the shelf stays stocked through the busy season. The distributor moved from reactive “we’re out again” ordering to a predictable cadence — the single biggest driver of keeping contractor accounts loyal to their counter.
Factory capacity figures, on-time-delivery % and exact lead-time weeks are stated only with verified data — available on request.
We take your fast-moving SKUs and sell-through and build a reorder plan around them.
Fast-movers in 16/20/25/32 mm are scheduled to refill before the bin empties.
Batch-consistent tolerances mean each container drops straight into stock — no re-qualification.
Customs & Compliance
Every shipment ships FOB with a complete, matching document set — so shipments clear customs on the first attempt.
Alongside the pipe, each shipment carries a complete cert and customs document set: cUPC (IAPMO), NSF-14 / NSF/ANSI 61, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP certification, alongside the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
That means the distributor’s shipments clear customs on the first attempt and can be sold straight into projects that demand documented compliance — no scrambling for missing paperwork after the container has already landed.
Specific FOB terms are set by contract, and certification / listing numbers are confirmed with your quote — certificate numbers available on request. The certification families held are confirmed.
Every compliance document family in one PDF, ready for your customs broker. Email required · listing numbers available on request.
What Ships in the Program
The distributor consolidated four lines under one brand and one certification set. A single PO, one set of paperwork, one consistent tolerance across the shelf.
The Result
A before-and-after view of the three failures Hitze set out to fix. Result figures and percentages are stated only with verified, authorized data.
| Outcome | Before Hitze | With Hitze |
|---|---|---|
| Batch tolerance | Drift between lots → mixed-stock complaints | Logged per batch to EN ISO / ASTM limits |
| Stock availability | Recurring stockouts on fast-movers | Recurring on-schedule reorders |
| Customs clearance | Stalled by incomplete cert docs | Full matching cert pack per shipment |
| Contractor account retention | At risk from empty bins & returns | Stabilized by consistent, in-stock supply |
| First-order → steady-state timeline | — | Sample → full container → scheduled reorders |
