Product · UFH Manifold
German-brand hydronic manifolds machined from 304 stainless steel — supplied 2 to 12 ports with integrated flow meters, balancing valves and air vents, for radiant floor loops that demand corrosion resistance and a premium finish.
Certified to cUPC, NSF-61, DVGW, WRAS & CE. Bulk and private-label supply for hydronic contractors, wholesalers and importers across North America and Europe.
Trade-only supply — Hitze sells to distributors, contractors and private-label brands, not to homeowners.
304 Stainless · cUPC · NSF-61 The Set
Every Hitze stainless set ships as a working assembly — flow meters on the supply (flow) bar, balancing valves on the return bar, end caps, air vents and mounting brackets fitted and pressure-tested. Studio shots of the assembled sets below.
304 Construction
The grade of stainless steel is the single biggest quality differentiator in this category. Hitze manifolds are built from AISI 304 (1.4301) — the grade specified for potable and hydronic water contact — not the cheaper 201 some suppliers substitute to cut cost.
201 raises hardness with manganese in place of nickel, which reduces its resistance to chloride and moisture over the life of a heating system. In a sealed hydronic loop, the manifold sits under constant thermal cycling and residual dissolved oxygen. 304 stainless resists pitting and general corrosion, keeps a clean surface in humid plant rooms, and weighs roughly a third less than an equivalent brass block — an advantage on wall-mounted and exposed installs. For aggressive water chemistry (high chloride, coastal), Hitze can quote 316 (1.4401) on request.
| Construction Detail | Hitze 304 Stainless Manifold |
|---|---|
| Body material | 304 stainless steel (AISI 304 / EN 1.4301) |
| Upgrade option | 316 (1.4401) on request |
| Main body size | 1″ or 1¼″ |
| Loop outlet connection | 3/4″ Eurocone (fits PEX-AL-PEX & PE-RT adaptors) |
| Working pressure | up to 6 bar |
| Working temperature | up to 80 °C (hydronic / wet system) |
| Finish | brushed / passivated stainless |
| Oxygen-barrier system match | pairs with DIN 4726 (EVOH) PE-RT loops to protect the manifold and boiler |
| Material certificate | EN 10204 3.1 — available on request / coming soon |

Because the manifold and the loop pipe share one hydronic circuit, Hitze recommends running it with an oxygen-barrier PE-RT underfloor heating pipe (DIN 4726). The EVOH barrier blocks oxygen diffusion that would otherwise corrode steel components and boiler parts across the system — a full-system spec you can source from a single German brand.

Port Matrix
Port count (the number of loop outlets per manifold set) is chosen by heated floor area and loop length. Each loop is typically limited to ~100 m of pipe to keep pressure drop manageable, so larger zones simply need more ports. Hitze supplies the full range and can mix port counts across a pallet for distributors serving varied projects.
| Ports (loops) | Typical heated area* | Main body | Loop connection | Common use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2-port | ~20–30 m² | 1″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | small room / bathroom zone |
| 3-port | ~30–45 m² | 1″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | apartment single zone |
| 4-port | ~45–60 m² | 1″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | typical residential floor |
| 6-port | ~60–90 m² | 1″ / 1¼″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | full-floor residential |
| 8-port | ~90–120 m² | 1¼″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | large home / small commercial |
| 10-port | ~120–150 m² | 1¼″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | commercial zone |
| 12-port | ~150–180 m² | 1¼″ | 3/4″ Eurocone | large commercial manifold |

*Indicative area at ~150 mm loop spacing; final loop design is the installer’s responsibility. Every set ships assembled on brackets, pressure-tested and boxed. Private-label and importer buyers can specify port mix, connection type and packaging per order — MOQ is low and sample-friendly to support first orders and product qualification.
Metering & Control
A complete manifold is more than two bars of stainless — the metering and control hardware is what lets installers balance every loop correctly. Hitze stainless sets ship as working assemblies, not bare bodies.
The flow meters on the supply (flow) bar are the everyday value: each loop’s flow is read straight off the sight-gauge float and dialled in with the balancing valve on the return bar, so no room runs hot or cold. Thermostatic actuators (M30 × 1.5, 24 V or 230 V) drop onto the return bar to connect the manifold to room thermostats for zoned control — specify voltage per order.
| Component | Position | Spec | Standard / Optional |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow meters (flowmeters) | supply (flow) bar | 0–2.5 L/min, clear sight-gauge float | Standard |
| Manual balancing / shut-off valves | return bar | per-loop isolation & regulation | Standard |
| Auto air vents (deaerators) | both ends | 1/2″, high-point air release | Standard |
| End caps / end brackets | both ends | with fill & drain ports | Standard |
| Thermostatic actuators | return bar | 24 V or 230 V, M30 × 1.5 | Optional add-on |
| Temperature gauges | supply/return | 0–80 °C | Optional add-on |
| Mixing / pump group | upstream | for low-temp radiant control | Optional add-on |
| Ball valves + unions | manifold inlet/outlet | 1″ / 1¼″ isolation | Optional add-on |

Material Decision
Both materials are proven in hydronic manifolds, and Hitze supplies both. The right choice is a sourcing decision, not a quality ranking — here is the honest comparison buyers ask for.
| Factor | 304 Stainless Manifold | Lead-Free (DZR) Brass Manifold |
|---|---|---|
| Corrosion resistance | Excellent (passive oxide layer) | Very good with DZR alloy (CW602N / CW724R) |
| Weight | Light (~⅓ less than brass) | Heavier solid block |
| Finish / appearance | Clean brushed metal — good for exposed installs | Traditional gold-brass, often boxed |
| Field machining / re-tapping | Harder to machine on site | Easier to drill / re-thread |
| Cost position | Premium | More economical |
| Lead-free potable safety | Inherently lead-free | Requires DZR / lead-free alloy (NSF-61) |
| Best fit | Exposed plant rooms, humid areas, premium spec | Cost-driven volume, concealed installs |
Choose 304 stainless when the manifold is exposed, in a humid or coastal environment, when weight matters on a wall-mount, or when the spec calls for a premium clean-metal finish. Choose lead-free (DZR) brass when cost per set is the priority, when installers value easy field machining, or when the tender is written around brass. Both Hitze ranges carry the same certification families — cUPC, NSF-61, DVGW, WRAS and CE — so the decision stays about material fit, not compliance.
