Pipe Sourcing FAQ
Certifications, MOQ, private label, system compatibility, oxygen barrier, quality, lead times and where we ship — answered straight, with standards and numbers, not marketing. Hitze is a German brand of premium heating and potable-water piping systems, and this page is built to clear every question between you and a first order.
We wrote this FAQ the way our best buyers actually think — as an importer weighing customs risk, a contractor checking a spec, a private-label brand protecting a channel, or an MEP consultant filling out a datasheet. Answers cite the exact standards — cUPC, NSF-61, DVGW, WRAS, CE, DIN 4726, EN ISO — and link straight to the page that goes deeper. Where a specific number isn’t public yet, we say “coming soon” rather than invent one.
This page is for wholesalers, contractors, importers, private-label brands, distributors and MEP consultants. If you’re sourcing to resell or specify into a regulated market, start here — then talk to us.

Eight topic groups cover everything a distributor, contractor, private-label brand or MEP consultant checks before a first order. Pick your question — every answer names the standard and links to the page that goes deeper.

Certification is the difference between a product you can shelve and a returned container. Every answer below names the standard and points you to the register where you can check it yourself.
Hitze products are certified to the standards your AHJ, compliance desk and customs broker actually check — cUPC/UPC (IAPMO), NSF-14, NSF/ANSI 61, DVGW, WRAS and CE + DoP — on a German base of SKZ testing, DIN 8077/8078 and EN ISO 15874. Listing numbers ship in the Cert Pack and are verifiable at source in the official registers.

MOQ & Ordering
A low, sample-friendly MOQ lets you qualify quality and test a market before you scale. Published figures are coming soon — until then, we say so rather than invent a number.
Order a sample to qualify quality and confirm dimensions against your fittings and tools.
Run a small first order to validate the line in your market before committing to a container.
Reorder at your MOQ tier with consistent quality and full export documentation.

Private Label & ODM
Your brand on the pipe, your documentation under your name, and an NDA that keeps us strictly on the factory side. That’s the ODM model behind the Hitze German-engineering base.
We print your artwork continuously along the pipe surface and issue TDS and DoP under your brand name — with cUPC/NSF/DVGW/WRAS support aligned to your target market. Custom labels, cartons, colour and print method carry your identity, not ours.
An NDA covers your specs and artwork, and we stay strictly on the factory side: no quoting, selling to, or contacting the buyers you supply. Your brand and channel remain entirely yours.

System Compatibility
For a warrantable, leak-tight loop, the answer is yes — tolerances, jaw profiles and barrier layers are engineered together. Hitze supplies the whole loop, so you don’t mix brands at the joint.
Pipe, press/push-fit fittings and manifolds should be one matched system so tolerances and jaw profiles (TH / U / F / M) align at the interface. Mixing brands can cause dimensional mismatch and void warranties.
Hitze press fittings use a brass/PPSU body with a stainless sleeve across 16 / 20 / 25 / 32 mm; push-fit fittings are tool-free and demountable (PPSU + O-ring + grab ring). One PO covers the whole loop.

Oxygen Barrier & Technical
The EVOH barrier layer isn’t optional in a closed heating loop — it’s the spec that protects boilers, pumps and manifolds. Here’s the mechanism, the standard, and where the per-SKU ratings live.
In a closed heating circuit, oxygen diffusing through ordinary pipe wall corrodes the steel and cast-iron it reaches — the boiler, the pump, the manifold. A thin EVOH layer blocks that diffusion to DIN 4726, the radiant-heating oxygen standard, so the metal downstream stays protected across the system’s service life.
PEX and multilayer pipe are built to EN ISO 15875 / 21003 and ASTM F876/F877 for hot-water and heating service, with class and pressure ratings printed on the pipe. Exact per-SKU working-pressure and temperature ratings live in the technical data sheets.

Quality & Tolerance
AQL sampling and documented process controls are what make a reorder match the sample you approved. Specific AQL levels and tolerance figures are coming soon; the procedure and test reports are available on request.
Production is inspected to AQL sampling for dimensional and visual attributes, with batch-to-batch checks on wall thickness, outer diameter and layer bonding — all built and tested to EN ISO and ASTM requirements. It’s the discipline that makes batch two match batch one.
We can supply the full QC procedure, test reports and retained-sample references per shipment on request. Consistency you can audit is the point — published AQL and tolerance figures: coming soon.

Lead Times & FOB
Lead times and Incoterm options are confirmed per order on your quote. Typical figures are coming soon — until then, we won’t put a number in writing we can’t stand behind.
A quote covers unit pricing, MOQ tier, Incoterm (FOB or EXW), certification scope and estimated lead time, plus the export documents your customs broker needs — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin.
Lead times depend on order size, print customization and certification scope, and are confirmed on your quote. Tell us your port and market and we tailor it — typical lead-time and FOB details: coming soon.

Shipping, Export & Identity
The highest-frequency questions a buyer searches before ordering are about identity and destination. Here they are, answered straight — with verifiable certification, not marketing.
